Holistic Therapy for Anxiety Challenges

The Constant Worrier

When you’re struggling with anxiety, you may wake up with a feeling of impending doom that sticks with you all day. Your mind races, constantly leaping from one worry to the next. You feel trapped in a cycle of fear, unable to break free.

At the slightest hint of stress, your body's fight-or-flight response kicks into overdrive. Your heart races and your breathing feels shallow, revealing an inner turmoil that threatens to engulf you.

Simple tasks start to feel like monumental challenges. Your worry narrative makes it hard to focus, much less get anything done.

The fear of judgment and rejection looms large, a constant companion in your daily struggle. You pretend to be okay but inside you're screaming for relief.

You long for a good night’s sleep, but your mind refuses to quiet down. You toss and turn, your thoughts racing like a runaway train, leaving you exhausted and drained by morning.

Even on the good days, the fear is never far away.

Help for Anxiety Challenges

I take a multi-faceted, holistic approach to anxiety:

Address unhelpful thinking styles: You will learn about the most common types of problem thinking and identify the thinking styles that contribute to your anxiety. Together we will practice challenging, redirecting, and reframing these thoughts to support a more empowered and healthier mindset.

Manage feelings of overwhelm/stress: You will learn a variety of practical tools to help reduce the emotional intensity that accompanies anxiety, distress, or overwhelm.

Soothe the nervous system: When your nervous system is dysregulated, everything feels harder. You will learn polyvagal strategies and other body-based techniques to help move you back into a state of calm and balance.

EMDR and the Flash Technique: At its core, anxiety is a response to feeling unsafe. I use EMDR and the Flash Technique to help “clear the root systems” of distressing past experiences that continue to send the message that you’re unsafe or “not ok”. Resolving the undigested negative charge of these memories through EMDR and/or the Flash Techqniue can lead to ongoing relief from anxiety and related triggers.

You don’t have to struggle alone anymore.
